apperance;;
Physical traits: Lilac is 5’2” in height, yet is quite mature for one of her age and height: slim and curvaceous, her feminine qualities are not exaggerated, yet they are sufficient that one might notice them. Her soft, rounded face might be considered babyish, however, being more cute than beautiful, and is the sort of face one might wish to be comforted by after having a particularly bad nightmare. Large brown eyes with pencil-thin eyebrows placed slightly higher up than is average give her a permanently surprised expression, although her face is transformed by her smile, which can appear within a fraction of a second, and frequently does. Lilac has honey-coloured hair, which falls loosely down to her waist; she sees no need to comb it or style it, preferring to let it wander where it will.
Clothing: Lilac favours simple one-piece sleeved dresses, divided at the bottom, so she can walk around freely; exposing her calves and a little of her leg above the knee, but nothing scandalous. This does appear to be all she wears, however; she does not both with footwear of any kind, preferring to walk around barefoot, and whilst her dresses do not exaggerate or cling to her figure, they do not leave too much to the imagination. Surprisingly, Lilac prefers muted pastel colours, rather than anything glaringly bright or dark, making her rather elegant.
Other: Lilac has a single piece of jewellery, that being a plain silver chain which hangs from around her neck, settling just above her breasts, being designed for a male considerably bigger than her; formerly her grandfather’s, she wears it everywhere.
personality;; Lilac is a daydreamer at heart; she has her head in the clouds, and it takes nothing short of a natural disaster to bring her back down to earth again. Getting Lilac’s attention is very, VERY difficult; not because she doesn’t care for what people have to say, but because she’s so lost in thought that her surroundings don’t register. It is difficult to decide whether Lilac is serenity incarnate or just plain clueless…likely some form of happy medium, although fathoming the depths of Lilac’s mind is both a dangerous and confusing affair; she answers questions quite literally, meaning that people need to watch what they say unless they want to be drowned in obscurity.
Nonetheless, one would be foolish to assume that Lilac’s oblivious state of mind equates to stupidity; she is something of an academic genius. Whilst it is hard to get her to focus on anything, when she finally does focus, she shows a remarkable ability to pick things up quickly and ascertain an ideal solution. If she were capable of applying such focus to everything, Lilac would be formidable indeed. As it is, she may only give someone a nasty surprise when they see that other side of her, as much of the time her attention span is ridiculously short, and may actually wander off mid-sentence. Long silences are common in conversation with Lilac, as she frequently loses track of what she was talking about.
Lilac does not appear to be capable of any degree of seriousness – even when discussing something “seriously” her voice has a dreamy quality that makes it sound as though she is half-asleep, or on the verge of it – although she makes up for this by being highly compassionate. She is more than willing to listen to other people and whilst this may be just a side-effect of her wandering thought process, she has a warm and gentle aura that encourages people to confide in her; even the most hard-bitten of cynics may find it difficult to keep up such an attitude in the face of the oblivious wall that is Lilac. Whilst not optimistic persay, she provides a unique perspective on matters, free of any bias – or any context, much of the time – and can actually offer some very thought-provoking insight…delivered with no real wisdom or intelligence. Lilac is a hard girl to take seriously, but a very difficult girl to dismiss: buried not so deeply within her dreamy persona are some interesting perspectives and philosophies that make her a very complex individual.
Lilac is a very affectionate person. Rather than a handshake, she would greet someone with a hug, and is the type who enjoys holding hands; close physical contact is important to her, although any innuendo from this would be entirely one sided; with obliviousness also comes an overwhelming innocence that would take nothing short of violation of the worst kind to shatter. Lilac prefers to express feelings through gestures, rather than through words, and warms up to people very quickly…prepare to be hugged, a lot; little more than a brief embrace, yet long enough to feel her presence.
Whilst she can be aggravating and painfully confusing, it is difficult to be angry with Lilac, as she seems not to have a single devious thought in her mind…although she also lacks common sense and the ability to focus for any given length of time. Her mood does not seem to fluctuate at all – were it not for a ready smile, she might even be considered emotionless – making her difficult to read and, often, difficult to even understand. What you see is what you get, yet to think that way will mean that you will miss out on a great deal of her deeper, more complex thoughts. Of course, said thoughts are buried beneath a lot of oblivious nonsense, and sometimes more trouble than they are worth to dig out…

history;;
Born three minutes and twenty seven seconds before her sister Julia, it is doubtful that Lilac is aware of this, or of her sister’s dislike for her…indeed, she doesn’t seem to be aware of much, and this is something that affected her even at an early age: her childhood was one of bliss, where she did more or less whatever she felt like. Given her intellectual prowess (when she applied herself, anyway) she was afforded a great deal of leeway in what she chose to do, and as such, she chose to wander much of the time.
Growing up in a house not privy to the luxuries many take for granted seemed to agree with Lilac; she became quite independent at an early age, and relished doing chores and exploring the surroundings, going on long walks to see what she could find. Of particular interest to her were Pokémon, which she sought out frequently, although many of the more timid species avoided her, despite her calm and soothing persona. This was perhaps the sole unhappiness Lilac ever experienced; wild Pokémon were just as avoidant of her as they were everyone else. Nonetheless, she greatly enjoyed trying to find them, and helping those she found injured…and, on occasion, running away from those that didn’t take kindly to her presence. Hugging an Ursaring is never a good idea, nor is climbing into a nest of Combee to have a chat with the Vespiquen running it. Nonetheless, she counted these as adventures, rather than life-threatening situations.
When her sister began to follow her around, Lilac took this is as a compliment, as opposed to a way to show her up. Delighted that her sister was taking an interest in what she did, she began to explore more interesting (read: dangerous) places, when she set her mind to doing something…oddly, Julia helped her to focus. Perhaps it was something about her voice, or what she said. Either way, she saw her sister as the perfect foil and travelling companion, and this only served to deepen her interest in Pokémon…wouldn’t it be wonderful if the two were Pokémon Trainers together? Surely they’d be a wonderful team, and…oh, look at that tree!
