Route 1

The first step for trainers in the Vermella Region. Route 1 is a shrubby forest, with short, stocky trees, their growth stunted by their close proximity to one another. Unsurprisingly, the Pokémon that dwell along this route are rather easy to catch, and relatively common; ideal for those just starting out. Despite that, it can still a challenge to get through for new trainers; it is rather exposed, and the high altitudes mean that unprepared travelers can be assaulted by bitterly cold high velocity winds coming in off the ocean.
