No New Posts Giant's Gateway

The one structure still standing within the Taupe Ruins is the Giant’s Gateway, a man-made corridor carved from stone culminating in a colossal arch. It is believed that this was made in honour of Regigigas, the legendary golem of old, owing to the braille inscriptions, rather than Unown inscriptions, that decorate the walls; symbolic of the legendary golem and the three who serve under it.

No New Posts Mausoleum of the Emperor

The Mausoleum of the Emperor lies at the end of Giant’s Gateway. An ancient palace that has now become a forgotten tomb, the air is still and dusty, with the only sound to be heard being your own footsteps and heartbeat. Many of the chamber walls depict scenes of battle, with words scrawled in Unown lining the top and bottom, describing the scene…or so it would seem. The letters seem to change every time someone enters the room, sometimes reading a complete sentence, other times being nothing but gibberish. Little of the Mausoleum has been explored, due to the large number of traps that have been set to guard against grave robbers (and some swear that the walls can move, after wandering around for hours in the maze-like corridors) yet it is believed that, somewhere within the deepest recesses of the structure, lies an ancient and valuable treasure. Exactly what this might be is uncertain, but it is more than enough to entice explorers to try and find it…

Board Description
Taupe Ruins

The ruins of a civilisation older than anything else discovered on Vermella to date, the Taupe Ruins are little more than a collection of weathered stones, as well as the occasional broken relic; fragments of intricate pottery, tiny bronze coins with an unrecognisable head or Pokémon silhouette carved upon them, and various other items. Having seen more than its fair share of looters, both legal and otherwise, the Taupe Ruins have been declared a protected site. A small campsite on the fringe of the ruins is the only recent settlement, and it is often hectic and crowded, although one can find many interesting things in the quieter areas of the ruins.
